Protecting the Environment and Saving Energy 

Retrofitted all intersections with energy efficient LED traffic signal lamps.  The savings generated from the action paid for the installation of uninterruptible power supply systems for each intersection.

We have received a Tree-City USA designation for the past several consecutive years.

Facilitated an agreement with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to set aside approximately 25 acres in the Jurupa Hills for a protected habitat for the endangered Delhi Sands Flower Loving Fly.
