Improving Roads and Reducing Traffic

Created the area’s first intelligent transportation systems and traffic center.  This information is now available via KFON cable television and the internet.

 Completed construction of 210 Freeway through Fontana.

 Constructed the I-10/Sierra Avenue Urban Interchange, a $23 million project predominately funded through outside money.

Congressman George Brown was responsible for Congress granting $7 million of these funds.

 Partnered with San Bernardino County for the construction of Slover Avenue.

 Successfully created and managed an Interstate 10 coalition to build support for reconstruction of I-10 and related interchanges.
