2010 BALLOT STATEMENT
It has been an honor and privilege to serve as your City Councilmember. When I joined the Council, Fontana was on the brink of bankruptcy. What a long way we have come: Fontana has recently been named one of the Nation’s 100 Best Communities for Young People by America’s Promise Alliance, the nation’s largest alliance dedicated to children and youth.
Today Fontana is solvent and lives within its means while still providing the highest levels of service to our citizens. The new Lewis Library and Technology Center has seen over one million visitors a year. We have one of the best park systems in all of Southern California, and our facilities are the envy of all our neighboring cities. Fontana’s crime rate is similar to Rancho Cucamonga’s because of our very efficient police force and a well-planned community.
I pledge to build on our successes and work toward an even better Fontana with more jobs, better roads and no new taxes. Remember, “Actions speak louder than words.”
I ask for your support in November, and I welcome your ideas and questions at: JBROBERTS@aol.com
